Ignatian Spiritual Exercises Led by Sister Theresa Betz
A Special Prayer Opportunity:
St. Ignatius of Loyola taught that God could be found in every situation, relationship, and experience of life. If you desire to find God in everything, you are invited to make the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. They require that you devote 20 minutes to prayer each day. A small book, Challenge, by Mark Link, SJ, will guide your daily prayer. After each prayer time, you are asked to record some idea or thought from your reflection. The group making this life-transforming journey meets once a week. Groups are limited to 10 people, so register soon. To join the morning group, e-mail Sister Theresa at SisterTheresa@StPaulChurch.com. Tuesday evenings will be facilitated by Fran Carideo, a certified Spiritual Director. Call her at 813-933-4338 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The book will be given to participants at the first meeting. Cost: $10.00.

St. Paul once upon a time said that the church, at its best, is “rooted in faith … built up in love … and abounding in thanksgiving …” and there is no better way to learn and to experience that reality than in the context of a Cursillo weekend.
Ministry meets every fourth Friday of the month at 7 pm in the Parish Office. Please contact Nilda Vega at (646)338-8515 for more information.
THE CURSILLO MOVEMENT: WHAT IS IT?
Cursillos in Christianity is a movement within the church that, through a method of its own tries to, and through God's grace manages to; enable the essential realities of the Christian to come to life in the uniqueness, originality, and creativity of each person. In becoming aware of their potential and while accepting their limitations they exercise their freedom by their conviction, strengthen their will with their decision, to propitiate friendship in virtue of their constancy in both their personal and community life. The Cursillo Movement consists of proclaiming the best news of the best reality: that God, in Christ, loves us. Communicated by the best means, which is friendship towards the best of each one, which is his being person and his capacity of Conviction, Decision, and Constancy. And what needs to be emphasized today, now, and immediately in order to be on the cutting edge of today's debate is to facilitate and make possible for every person to encounter oneself always and absolutely essential in order to be able to encounter God and others.
