Music Ministry


 

There are many music groups for all ages and interests.  If you would like to participate in any of the following, please contact the music ministry office at 813-264-3319 or email  Mgant@StPaulChurch.com.

St. Paul Choir:  The St. Paul Choir is open to anyone of high school age and up.  They meet on Wednesdays from 7-9 pm, and minister at the 10:45 am mass on Sunday.  Consistency in attendance is a top priority, and the ability to match pitch is a must.  Auditions by appointment. 

Children's Choir:  The Children's Choir is open to children 2nd grade and higher.  They meet on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm, and minister at the 9 am mass on Sunday approximately once a month. 

Middle School Youth Choir:  The Middle School Choir is open to students in grades 6-8.  They meet on Tuesdays from 6:15-7 pm and minister at the 9 am mass on Sunday approximately once a month.  Members are welcome to participate in the Children’s Choir as well. 

12:30 Mass Ensemble:  This vibrant group sings a broad spectrum of music from traditional to contemporary.  The ensemble rehearses at 10:45 am on Sunday morning.

Life Teen Ensemble:  The Life Teen Ensemble is open to enthusiastic teens and young adults who want to praise God through the music of today's Contemporary Christian composers. The group rehearses at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon and ministers at the 5:30 pm Sunday mass. 

Coro Hispano de San PabloThe Spanish Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30 pm, and sings at the 2 pm mass on Sunday.  

Brazilian Community Choir:  The Brazilian choir sings at the 7:30 pm mass on Saturday. 

Daily Mass Music:  Cantors and instrumentalists lead the music at the 12:15 pm daily mass.  Rehearsals are scheduled prior to mass. 

Handbell Ensemble:  The Handbell Ensemble rehearses on Thursdays from 6:15-7:30 pm and rings at the 10:45 am mass throughout the year, and at various other liturgies as needed. 

Cantors: Cantors lead our congregation in singing our hymns and the various Mass parts. If you have competent vocal abilities and are interested in leading the assembly in song, please contact the music office for an audition appointment. 

Instrumentalists:  We welcome proficient instrumentalists who would like to minister at any of our liturgies.  If you play an instrument, contact the music office to set up a time to meet with the music director.

Tech Ministry: Our tech volunteers run the PowerPoint slides during the weekend masses. Great for teens needing service hours.
