Welcome, Fr. Eva!

ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH WELCOMES NEW PAROCHIAL VICAR, REV. EVA NNAMENE!

By: Charles Yezak, Jr., Director of Communications

St. Paul Catholic Church is delighted to welcome Fr. Eva Nnamene as its new Parochial Vicar. A familiar face to many parishioners, Fr. Eva brings a wealth of pastoral experience, academic knowledge, and international perspective to his new role.

Originally from Nigeria, Fr. Eva was ordained to the priesthood on September 5, 1998. His journey in ministry has taken him across continents, from local parishes in Nigeria to academic halls in Rome. In 2003, Fr. Eva was sent by his bishop to pursue studies in Communications at the prestigious Gregorian University in Rome—an opportunity that laid the foundation for his later work in media and teaching.

In 2017, Fr. Eva returned to Nigeria to serve as a communications instructor at the Institute of West Africa in Port Harcourt. His passion for sharing knowledge and strengthening the Church’s voice in the media has been a guiding theme throughout his ministry.

Fr. Eva is no stranger to the St. Paul community. He previously served as a visiting priest during the summers of 2017 and 2018, each time for two-month assignments. His warm presence, insightful homilies, and deep spiritual grounding left a lasting impression on many parishioners.

In addition to his teaching and pastoral work, Fr. Eva has spent time in Tampa, where he completed an internship at the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s radio station, Spirit FM 90.5. His experience in Catholic broadcasting further enhances the gifts he brings to the parish.

Now officially joining the clergy team as the fourth priest at St. Paul Catholic Church, Fr. Eva looks forward to deepening his connection with the community and continuing his mission of service, education, and evangelization.

Please join us in giving a heartfelt welcome to Fr. Eva Nnamene!
