Veneration of the Relics of St. Pio – May 21

St. Paul Catholic Church – Tampa, in partnership with the National Centre for Padre Pio, will host a veneration of five relics of St. Pio of Pietrelcina on Thursday, May 21, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the main church.

The five relics for veneration will be: Padre Pio’s glove; a blood stained sock; a lock of hair; a blood stained bandage; and scabs from his stigmata (see photo below). In honor of St. Pio’s love for the Blessed Mother, a relic of the veil of Mary will also be present for veneration.

Following the veneration, a Mass in honor of St. Pio will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. After Mass, Mr. Joseph Santoro, Director of Mission Outreach and Programming for the National Centre for Padre Pio will deliver a brief talk on the life of Padre Pio and the founding of National Centre for Padre Pio .

The line for veneration will begin in the St. Paul Family Center, where religious articles will be available for purchase. All are welcome!
